2023 Mid-Year Freak Out Tag #MidYearWrapUp
Hello Readers! I hope you all well and first half of the year was amazing for you. I don’t do tags or memes anymore but Mid-Year Freak Out Tag has always been fun and it also gives a reason to do Mid-Year Wrap Up. So here is my 2023 Mid-Year Freak Out Tag and how 2023 in books has been so far –

Reading Stats-
Books Read – 46
Pages Read – 14827

This year Goodreads was acting weirdly. Sometimes even after marking the book ‘read’ it wouldn’t appear in my read list but will count the book for the challenge, sometimes even though I read the book once and I didn’t select ‘read’ the second time it would show I read it twice and will count it for the challenge. So there is already a problem with counts as my Excel sheet is showing me 46 books. But even with 46, I’m way ahead of the challenge. I might change the challenge to 80 later.

Most anticipated release for the second half of 2023?
I’m not a person who keeps the anticipated list as I always read them once they’re released and way later if I’m going to buy the book. But here are some books that are releasing in second half of the year and I would like to read them –

Biggest disappointment
Most of my 3-star ratings are disappointing reads but the most disappointed I felt for are –

What books do you really need to read by the end of this year?
My TBR is too big! I wish to read all backlist books and have the required 80% NetGalley ratio back but that is simply not possible unless I stop downloading NetGalley books for one whole year. But still, these are few books I’m sure going to read no matter what –

Thank you for reading! Let’s chat..,

Good luck with Wesley Chu. The one book of his I tried did not work for me at all. Here’s to hoping you have better luck 🙂

I’m also having goodreads issues! But not as bad as yours… I think.
Katherine Arden’s Winternight Trilogy is AMAZING, I hope you love it too!

Can’t wait to read that series. I have waited too long to get all books in series, I’m sure not waiting long to read them.

Goodreads has been acting kind of wonky with me also, Yesha. Those Krisnakumar covers are gorgeous!

They are amazing and I also enjoyed light mystery in them. It’s really good for middle grade readers.

I’d love to try Arden’s trilogy someday. I’ve only heard amazing praise about her writing style. Also nice to see Bardugo’s novel among your favourites. It reminds me that it’s been a while since I read anything by her. Happy reading, Yesha! You’re on a roll! 😀
