Synopsis

Bobo is a special puppy that little Inni has adopted. Bobo likes to help Inni get ready for school. He always checks if she has packed her lunch and water bottle.

And guess what? Bobo gets to go to school with Inni on a special day called ‘Bring Your Pet to School Day’! It’s the best Wednesday ever! Inni can’t wait to show her friends how wonderful Bobo is.

This endearing story, the third book in the Inni & Bobo series, delves into the everlasting bond between humans and pets. It will not only encourage children to show empathy and kindness towards animals but also teach them to open their hearts and homes to those in need.

Review

Inni & Bobo Head to School is lovely and beautifully illustrated children’s fiction about the adorable bond between Inni and her puppy named Bobo. The book is cuteness overloaded.

Me and my kid read this together. She could read most of the book on her own. Writing is easy and illustrations are big and expressive that tell the story itself.

Beginning of the book with Innin getting ready for school with time and how Bobo helps her is lovely. My kid loved pointing out ‘she is brushing her teeth’ and so is Bobo and laughed at the antics of Bobo. We could see how both Innin and Bobo were excited for ‘Bring Your Pet to School Day’.

The best part of the book is a classroom filled with kids and their different pets and how they told what their pets teach them. It introduces kids to the qualities of different pets in a fun way and what we can learn from animals. It also introduces kids to compassion towards animals and how they can have special bonds be it a fish, dog or cat or any other animal.

Inni’s speech was lovely. My kid also wanted to get a pet and have a pet day in school after reading her speech (but she is more cat person like me so now she wants a cat). There is also after-school time between Inni and Bobo here that shows how they both love each other and will always be each other’s best friends.

Overall, Inni & Bobo Head to School is lovely, entertaining, and adorable children’s fiction about human-animal bond that all kids would love to read (my kid sure does and we already read it 5 times!). I highly recommend this book to kids aged 4+.
