Monthly wrap up : Books read in August 2021

Hello readers! I hope you all are well and had amazing August. This month we had lots of gathering and family time, also did shopping and for the first time I received physical review copies from Indian publisher. I hope that isn’t just one time thing!

In terms of reading, I read 8 books. I had hard time getting into most of books I read this month but thankfully by the end of them month I picked books as per my mood and from my go to genre that improved overall feeling I also buddy read book for the first time and I had fun discussing book.

The Barrister and the Letter of Marque

Regency era novel

The Barrister and the Letter of Marque was intriguing, gripping, and well written legal historical fiction with complex plot and interesting characters. It revolved around barrister William Snopes defending the case of piracy and the mystery of Letter of Marque.

Best part of the book was court room drama, William and his team’s investigation, and villains’ plan.

I highly recommend this if you like,

Curses by Lish McBride

Curses was entertaining, adventurous, and very well written well executed Beauty and Beast retelling with lots of characters, good message and lovely romance.

Every Day in December by Kitty Wilson

Christmas read

Every Day in December was refreshing, feel good, heart-warming contemporary romance with lots of Christmassy spirit.

I highly recommend this if you like,

Six of Crows (Six of Crows, #1) by Leigh Bardugo (review will be up tomorrow)

Six of Crows

Six of Crows was mind-blowing, thrilling, adventurous fantasy with so many twists and turns, amazing characters, and brilliant plot. It was the best book I read this whole year.

The Sister Surprise was refreshing, uplifting, and entertaining chick-lit was great plot, characters and setting.

Lord Seeks Wife by Heather Barnett
