What are you reading this month? Have you read any What are you reading this month? Have you read any of these?

I'm continuing Zen by Shabnam Minwalla i started in May. I still need to read last 200 pages.

I'm starting Lovelight Farms by B. K. Borison simultaneously as I have your next week.

I'm pretty excited to buddy read Bloodmarked by Tracy Deonn. I think I remember most of things from Legendborn and hopefully I wouldn't have to go back to it while reading this.

The Benevolent Society of Ill-mannered Ladies by Alison Goodman is historical fiction featuring fierce women of Victorian era. Sounds exactly my kind of book.

The Prince of Secrets by A. J. Lancaster is sequel of Lord of Stariel i read in may. It's a cozy fantasy. I liked Wyn in first book and secret he was keeping was interesting but i still would like to know him more. Hopefully this book is more about him.

I also plan to finish this series this month so will read next installment Stariel Quartet, The Court of Mortals.

𝘿𝙚𝙖𝙙𝙗𝙚𝙖𝙩 𝘿𝙧𝙪𝙞𝙙 is the third book & the epic conclusion of the Adam Binder series, published by Blackstone Publishing. Out now!!

Review

Writing is engaging, imaginative and steady-paced with alternative dual perspectives from Adam and Vic, but this time there is more emotional depth and more character growth.

I found the initial chapters a little slow as we are taken to the new setting and the underworld isn't like I have read in other books with underworld journeys. But as more of the setting was explored I was hooked to the story.

I loved Adam even more in this. He is better at his magical abilities now and the more he has to use his warlock power, the more it complicates his feelings and his ability to retain his nature. I admire him for what he decided to do with his great-grandfather. It's very like him. Vic was also amazing but it felt he took the backseat here and was more a supportive character.

Familial relationship is complex and well-written. The setting of the underworld is unique and imaginative.I liked the theme of making the right choices and the message of forgiveness.

Why 4 stars- I still don't understand what happened to Vran and how whatever happened changed him. I also feel we get less Adam-Vic moments.

Overall, #DeadbeatDruid is imaginative, thrilling, and well-written urban fantasy with underworld journey and amazing character growth.

What are you reading this week? Unlike usual one What are you reading this week?

Unlike usual one book at a time i started reading two books simultaneously as Zen by @shabnamminwalla is 600 pages long! that too in contemporary fiction. I'm fine with long fantasy books but haven't read long book in this genre which involves Indian history and current India with topics and theme very close too reality. So i knew I would need another book to readalong and take it slow.

I meant to start Stariel Quartet by @a.j.lancaster for long time now and I needed another series to binge read.

So far both books are really good. I love writing in Zen while I love family dynamic and the idea of magical land in Lord of Stariel. I can't wait to see what happens next in both books.
