WEEKLY WRAP-UP #WEEKINREADING (27/1/’20)
Hello Readers! My week in reading was good. I took a day or two break because of allergic flu that was on and off ever since winter started but I managed to finish books I planned for the week. Good thing, I’m expecting a book coming in mail in few days but week ended with bad news. Things are not looking well and I hope situation get in control soon or I’m heading to my parents’ home for support. I’ve drafted all posts for next week just in case.
WHAT I READ-
The Falconer’s Apprentice by Malve von Hassell
This was informative book. It was travel adventure of falconer’s apprentice who learned lot of things during his travel, acquired many skill and decided what he wanted to do in life. It was not action packed or dramatic or suspenseful, was quite simple in fact, but was good.
Cupidity by Lucinda Lamont
I didn’t like this one. I’m not going to rate it high. Review will be up next month.
Diary of a Wimpy Kid (Diary of a Wimpy Kid #1) by Jeff Kinney
This was fun and entertaining. Loved drawing in the book.
WHAT I’M PLANNING TO READ THIS WEEK-
Meet Ginny, 34, and Cassie, 55. Neighbours, and (very) unlikely friends.
Some women have it all. Others are thirty-four, renting a tiny flat alone because they recently found their long-term boyfriend in bed with their boss. Unfortunately, the latter applies to Ginny Taylor. Single and jobless, Ginny is certain her life can’t get any worse. But then she encounters her downstairs neighbour for the very first time…
Cassie Frost is a woman who had it all – she was a once-loved actress, but a recent stint on reality TV has rocketed her to online infamy. She’s suddenly become a national hate figure – and she desperately needs a new publicist. And Ginny is a publicist who desperately needs a job… but can she be persuaded to work for the uber-difficult, excessively prickly woman that lives below her floorboards?
Because sometimes – just sometimes – bad neighbours become good friends…
That sounds so interesting I requested it as soon as I saw it on NetGalley in Nov. It’s releasing next month so I’ll try to review it on publication date.
Maddy Strong doesn’t like to be alone but a weight loss boot camp is not her idea of a good time. Working out and counting calories is a test she’s bound to fail—especially when paired with fitness-focused Greg as a workout partner.
Health-conscious Greg Power is desperate to end his night terrors. While he doubts his therapist’s prescription of exhausting his body and reprogramming his mind he is willing to try anything.
During their workouts they uncover a deep connection. But when their friendship blossoms into love, they discover possibilities neither have ever considered. Faced with the biggest decision of their lives, who will they choose?
I liked Divorce Planner by Angela Lam last year so I hope this turns out as good. It’s also releasing next month and will publish review on publication day.
Let’s discuss!
What did you read last week?
What are you planning to read this week?

Female friendship is what attracted me to this book and that age gap between them. I hope to like it too. I’m starting this book in few minutes. It’s 400 pages long let’s see how long it takes me to read.

My youngest son loved the Diary of a Wimpy Kid books and was thrilled to meet the author at a local book fair. He even drew the MC when he signed the book. You had a productive week, Yesha!

Thank you, Teri! I loved doodles and art in that book. Author wrote main character nicely. Kids at this age are like that only.
My week was good but it ended sadly. My brother’s wedding is called off. It was arrange marriage yet that girl was double crossing my brother. It was so shocking to know what that girl was planning. And my goodness, what attitude she had! I really thank God for saving us.

So sorry to hear that, Yesha! Hate that it happened to your brother, but in the long run, sounds like he’ll be much better off – and happier – without her.
