It's Monday! What Are You Reading? (23)

It's Monday! What Are You ReadingIt’s Monday! What Are You Reading?’ is a place to meet up and share what you have been, are and about to be reading over the week.  It’s a great post to organise yourself. This meme started with J Kaye’s Blog and then was taken up by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn at the Book Date.

Hey Book Lovers! I hope you all had a fabulous week. I returned yesterday very late from vacation, technically today at 2:30 a.m. (we had a connecting flight Kochi – Mumbai- Hyderabad and were supposed to arrive back to Hyderabad on Sunday at 11 p.m. but because of air traffic second flight was delayed.) I was damn tired today and had a lot to do- unpacking, laundry, cleaning… it was a busy day after awesome week of vacation. I will share some pictures later this week, they are still in my cam.
I didn’t read much during my trip as we were out sightseeing whole day and when we returned to hotel I barely could read few chapters, I couldn’t even read your posts and I’m sorry for that.

last week I read—

I finished Destiny’s Gambit (The Voyages of Jake Flynn Book 1) by R. J. Wood. I will write and post review tomorrow.

Currently Reading—

The Bone Curse (Benjamin Oris #1) by Carrie Rubin

36681258MEDICINE HAS NO CURE FOR EVIL…
Ben Oris, a pragmatic med student from Philadelphia, gets cut by an old bone while touring the Paris catacombs. His companion Laurette, a public health student from Haiti, senses danger and worries an evil curse now runs through him.
Ben scoffs at the idea—he simply has a wound that won’t heal—and back home he returns to his stressful clerkship at the hospital. But when people close to him succumb to a grisly illness and a dark priest pursues him, his skepticism wavers. Could a bone from an 18th-century skeleton with a frightening history really cause modern-day disease?
With the help of Laurette, he scrambles to find a cure through Vodou before more of his loved ones die. But first, he must battle the mysterious priest who’s bent on vengeance and determined to have Ben’s blood as his own.
I finished 50% of this book. It’s releasing tomorrow and again I can’t review it on release day.

Next this week—

Deadly Spirits by E.Michael Helms

31146881When PI Mac McClellan’s girlfriend convinces him to join the Palmetto Paranormal Society, he becomes embroiled in a case of whooodunnit. The society president, while investigating an old hotel, is found dead at the foot of the stairwell, his neck broken. The man’s secretary and current squeeze stands horrified beside his body. Authorities rule the death an accident. Mac has doubts—no one heard the man tumbling down the stairs. Then the secretary dies in an apparent suicide. Two deaths in two paranormal investigations, and not a peep out of either victim. Mac suspects there’s more going on than a vengeful spirit.
Book 4 in the Mac McClellan Mystery series, which began with Deadly Catch.

Last week I thought I will read this on my vacation but I only managed to read Destiny’s Gambit and then I remembered The Bone Curse is releasing this week, so I started reading it in place of this one. But this week I will surely start this book.

What are you reading this week? How was your last week? Have you read any of these books before or planning to read in future? What do you think about them?? Share your thoughts in the comment-box below.
