Review
I couldn’t have read this at better time. Just last week, my little one lost her first milk tooth, followed swiftly by another this week so she could get the sentiment of the story so well. Thankfully, unlike the distraught crocodile in ‘Keith the Croc that lost his Teeth’, she didn’t lose her smile over it.
However, I can imagine many children finding solace in the tale, navigating the emotional rollercoaster of losing teeth and the temporary gap in their smiles, which can indeed be unsettling for some as they hardly understand what is really happening.
Watching my child grow a new tooth alongside losing the old ones made it easier for us to explain that the older teeth are simply making way for stronger ones.
Written in a charming semi-rhyme, the book’s vibrant illustrations and colorful characters beautifully convey important lessons about self-belief, overcoming fear, and patience, all wrapped in a heartwarming feel that touches both children and adults alike.
It was lovely how author included animals in story as Crocodiles’ friends that children would love to identify. My kid not only enjoyed the illustrations but also found the text accessible that made the story even more enjoyable.
Overall, ‘Keith the Croc that lost his Teeth’ is a delightful, engaging, and thoroughly enjoyable Animal fiction for kids age 4+, especially those on the cusp of losing their milk teeth.

Review
What kid isn’t afraid of dark? Mine sure is. She wouldn’t go to washroom without turning on lights even during the day. So, reading a shark afraid of dark is something she can relate to.
‘Shelly the Shark that was afraid of the Dark’ is a visually captivating tale, written in semi-rhyme, skillfully captures the essence of the fear of darkness and the journey toward overcoming it.
It was lovely to see how Shelly’s friends helped with her fear of darkness by taking her to adventure at night showing all the things that come alive at night that turned the scary darkness into beautiful magical time. I loved how author portrayed the darkness as a part of nature’s cycle that would make it less scary for kids.
Again author included so many sea animals that kids would love to identify and have fun loosing themselves into colorful pages. Of course, the story didn’t help my kid getting over her fear of darkness but after reading this she sure wanted to go on an underwater adventure. I had to gently remind her that she’s not quite ready for such big adventure and instead suggested a visit to the aquarium.
Overall, Shelly the Shark that was afraid of the Dark is beautifully illustrated, engaging Animal fiction for kids age 4+ that has the potential to transform the fearful darkness of the night into something truly magical.
