4th Blog Birthday! 🎊 / / Q&A

4th Blog Birthday

Hello Readers! It’s 4th blog birthday and today four years ago I wrote my first post! I can’t believe how much time has gone since that first post and I didn’t think at that time I would be blogging even after four years.

I started blog as hobby thinking nobody would like to read my posts as I felt I’m not that good. I didn’t have that confidence or to be honest, vocabulary as English is my third language. We don’t talk in English at my home and anywhere unless necessary (it’s one of the reason I don’t booktube or post ig video because I know my pronunciation sucks). After 4 years of blogging, I’m much more confidant for what I do here, I have come far from the person I was before and that’s why no matter what people around me says, how much unhappy they’re for me giving this blog time (yes lately it has happened a lot, even though I try to balance things), it hold special place in my heart and my life.

A special and big thank you to blogging community for support, for all shares, likes and comments. I didn’t realise when I started I would get so much love from community who would keep inspiring me and supporting me. Thank you so much for making this 4 years amazing.

I’m being brave here and sharing my first post that was a review, you can check it out➡ HERE.

And now after 4 years this is my 1103 post!

Last week I published post about to Ask me Anything to celebrate 4th birthday so here are the questions and my answers –

Question from Priyasha @ BOOKS AND CO.How did your blogging journey begin ?

If you know me you might know I’m not born reader. I spent my childhood among regional and study books. In 2015, one of my friends at job handed me Michael Crichton’s Next. I don’t remember much about that book only that I enjoyed it as it was related to my field and I had no problem in getting into it. I realised I liked reading novels and then started reading books that were famous and I have watched adaptations- LOTR, HP, and so on and never stopped reading ever since. I had minor stroke in 2016 and had to quit job. I recovered after few months but couldn’t get back to job. Staying at home, reading books, discovering Goodreads and readers who blogged inspired me to find a platform to talk about books I read as nobody in family or friends were that much into books. At last I started my blog in 2017 and here I am after four years.

Question from Ari @ Read with AriWhat’s the most challenging/tiring part of blogging? And the most rewarding one? Do you see yourself doing this indefinitely?

Most challenging- consistency, trying to come up with creative post (that I still trying to figure it out), balancing reading and blogging. Most tiring – It takes so much time.
Most Rewarding- Love from community.

Yes, right now I do feel I can keep blogging for years. How long? I don’t know but if possible I don’t want to stop blogging.

Question from Mischenko @ ReadRantRock&Roll 1. What’s your absolute favourite genre. 2. How important are blog stats to you?

My absolute favourite genre are- fantasy and romcom.

It would be a lie if I say stats are not important. They are and I check it regularly. I do notice what viewers and visitors liked most and of course, more views and visits makes me happy but whether I get high or low stats, it is not stopping me from what I want to post.

Question from Misty @ Misty’s Book Space– 1.) How did you get into blogging? 2.) What is one book you wish everybody would read?

First question I already answered above. Second – Why only one book? I always find this difficult to answer because I read many genre and I have favourites in all of them. Most importantly just one book that I would recommend to someone, that person might not like it! So, I always say it depends a lot on who is asking me. Maybe I’ll wrote post on that.

Question from Kaya @ afictionalbookwormWhat’s one of your most memorable posts you’ve done?

Why I Read Multiple Genre. It was my first ever discussion post. If you follow me from the beginning you must know this has been review blog and writing something that is not review was out of my comfort zone.

Question from Meggy @ Chocolate’n’WafflesWhat’s your favorite fruit? Are you a Swiftie? Which foot do you prefer?

Mango. I like other fruits- watermelon, Custard apple/ Sugar-apple, strawberry, pineapple, apple, Kiwi but Mango is my most favourite.

I love Taylor Swift songs. I have been hearing them for long time but recently I love them more. I wouldn’t call myself fan who follows her everywhere or know what’s going on in her life or put aside everything to listen new song as soon as it’s released. I haven’t been fan of any artist.

I’m right footed and prefer right.

Thank you for reading! Let’s chat…
