Wrap-Up

Weekly Wrap-up : (18/01/’21) #WeeklyWrapup #WeekinReading

Hello readers! I hope you al are well and safe and had a great week. I couldn’t read much last week but it was fun week. I enjoyed festival and family function in weekends. It was great to meet relatives after long time. It’s my 8th marriage anniversary today. We don’t have any specific plans but we will go out for dinner.

What I read last week –

A Wolf for a Spell by Karah Sutton

This was fairy tale like fantasy based on Russian folklores, a perfect read for middle grade and young readers, rich in magical world with interesting characters. There was a little pacing issue but I couldn’t find any major negative points. I enjoyed reading this.

Currently Reading-

Waiting for Tom Hanks (Waiting for Tom Hanks #1) by Kerry Winfrey

Can a romcom-obsessed romantic finally experience the meet-cute she always dreamed of or will reality never compare to fiction, in this charming debut adult novel from Kerry Winfrey.

Annie Cassidy dreams of being the next Nora Ephron. She spends her days writing screenplays, rewatching Sleepless in Seattle, and waiting for her movie-perfect meet-cute. If she could just find her own Tom Hanks—a man who’s sweet, sensitive, and possibly owns a houseboat—her problems would disappear and her life would be perfect. But Tom Hanks is nowhere in sight.

When a movie starts filming in her neighborhood and Annie gets a job on set, it seems like a sign. Then Annie meets the lead actor, Drew Danforth, a cocky prankster who couldn’t be less like Tom Hanks if he tried. Their meet-cute is more of a meet-fail, but soon Annie finds herself sharing some classic rom-com moments with Drew. Her Tom Hanks can’t be an actor who’s leaving town in a matter of days…can he?

Next I’ll be reading –

Mr Right Across the Street by Kathryn Freeman

Mia Abbott’s move to Manchester was supposed to give her time and space from all the disastrous romantic choices she’s made in her past. But then the hot guy who lives opposite – the one who works out every day at exactly 10 a.m., not that Mia has noticed thank-you-very-much – starts leaving notes in his window…for her.

Bar owner Luke Doyle has his own issues to deal with but as he shows Mia the sites of her new city he also shows her what real romance looks like for the first time. And when he cooks up a signature cocktail in her honour, she realises that the man behind the bar is even more enticing than any of his creations. And once she’s had a taste she knows it will never be enough!

This is read along book but I’ll be starting it early. This sounds lovely.

Have you read any of these books or going to read soon? What are you planning to read this week?

Hi, I'm Yesha, an Indian book blogger. Avid and eclectic reader who loves to read with a cup of tea. Not born reader but I don't think I’m going to stop reading books in this life. “You can never get a cup of tea large enough or a book long enough to suit me.”
