Hello readers! I hope you all had great week. My week in reading was great. I finished 3 books of 3 different genre and had time to socialize in the weekend as well. My daughter is really enjoying here specially with kids of her age. I received another bunch of November December release book through NetGalley. I will post about the book I added to TBR this week.
What I read last week-
Unravel the Dusk (The Blood of Stars #2) by Elizabeth Lim
This was amazing sequel and I loved everything in this book from cover till the end. I wish author’s going to write more books in this world. Read full review ➡ HERE.
The 12 Christmases of You & Me by Jennifer Joyce
This was heart-warming romance. All characters were likable and loved theme and concept of reliving 12 Christmases through time travel and theme of redemption. Read full review ➡ HERE.
Escape Room by Maren Stoffels
This was translated book, short and super quick book. I finished this book in one sitting in few hours only. Some twist were good while some I couldn’t see coming. It barely gave me time to think what exactly feel about it so writing the review is going be difficult. Review will be up this week.
Next I’ll be reading-
Epona (Highlands Series Book 1) by Michelle Dalton
Can she overcome the trauma of her past and find redemption in the wild Scottish Highlands?
After a horrendous attack on her family farm in South Africa takes the lives of her loved ones and leaves her wounded, her only escape is to leave the country of her birth for the highlands of Scotland and her last living relatives. But Sadie’s life may still be in danger.
Blane Buchan is an Englishmen living in the small highland town of Lairg, seeking a life away from the emptiness of London society and a past he’d rather forget.
When Sadie finds a mysterious blue roan mare, she must use the gift given to her from Epona; Protector of horses. But the mare just might be the one who saves her.
From the mountains of South Africa to the wintery Highland Moors this is a story of redemption, love and the powerful connection between humans and horses.
I was supposed to read this in August and I totally forgot about it. SO I’m taking this on priority. Horse Goddess Epona and gift of horse talking. Doesn’t that sound interesting. I’m starting this today and I’m hoping to enjoy it.
Vala (Highlands Series Book 2) by Michelle Dalton
Can Calla acknowledge the truth of her past, accept her gift, and embrace an open invitation to love?
On the anniversary of her father’s untimely death, forensic anthropologist, Doctor Calla Conroy, is thrown in the deep end of a murder investigation.
To complicate the situation, the voice in her head has returned.
With everything to lose and no time for a psychotic break, Calla ends up in the small highland’s village of Lairg. Here she meets the handsome Detective Hamish Bell, who elicits powerful emotions that frighten her.
Can Calla make peace with her traumatic past and the reality of her gift? Or is she simply losing her mind, her heart, and possibly her career?
This too I was supposed to read after I finished Epona. Hopefully I can finish this by weekend.
Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed this post! Let me know in comments what you are currently reading and planning to read next, or if you have read any of these books.
