One day when, the Little Red Wolf is sent to visit his old grandmother with a rabbit. In his enjoyment, he stray from the path and loses his way. When a little girl, on seeing him crying offers to help, little wolf is pleased by niceness of the girl. Little he knew there is something else behind the niceness.

“Once upon a time, there was a family of wolves in deep and mysterious forest.”

Little Red Wolf is inverted retelling of Little Red Riding, where little wolf pup is main character, wearing red cape, so innocent and lovely. That was brilliant thinking and it made story so interesting. Story told by little girl and wolf was mesmerizing and it was best part of the story.

“Once upon a time, there was a beautiful young woman… who spent her time deep in the forest.”

I loved how this little story, though they were 80 pages but pretty quick, was divided in chapters which was very different. I have never seen illustrated stories have chapters before.  All chapters had very beautiful art, all the details of forest, animals, and humans in it was eye-catching. This book will be on top of my list of best picture book for its artwork. I can imagine how beautiful finished copy will look.

I loved little wolf specifically. You seeing one in cover, that. Isn’t it very cute?

There were so many lesson in just few pages. First and obvious that was even in the original story that listen to warnings you are given, never trust strangers. Another which was new and my favorite, there are always more than one aspect of truth/story and action of the people are based on the aspect they choose to follow/ believe. Who said beast are always bad and humans are all good! Rage leads to blindness and guilt, so always try to understand situation before reacting.

The little twist and end of the book was unexpected and very beautiful.

Overall, I just loved this book and I recommend it for all children. It’s fabulous, entertaining, and I have no words for illustrations. Simply perfect. I want to read more by this author.
