February 2026 Wrap Up: Travel, Crochet and Romance Reads
February 2026 is less about big reading stats and more about a full, lived-in month. Even though I read only four books, February was packed with travel, crochet projects, and quiet progress behind the scenes. Sometimes a lighter reading month still makes for the best life month.
February 2026 Wrap Up
February 2026 in life
The biggest highlight was our 10-day trip to Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand. We had been planning it since last year, postponed it once, and honestly, waiting made it better. It turned out to be one of our best trips. I am still easing back into routine, so I have not written the full travel posts yet, but they are coming in March. I have already started sharing bits on Instagram, so that is step one.
Another major update: I finally created a separate crochet account, ThreadedWhim. If I am serious about turning it into a side hustle, it deserves its own space. My Bookstagram will stay books plus life. As for YouTube, I do not have the energy to run multiple channels, so I renamed it Books Teacups and Beyond . That will hold all three niches: books, crochet, and travel. I have a couple of travel videos lined up, and I am actually excited to share those.
Adding another hobby has definitely slowed my reading. There are only so many hours in a day. But crocheting has also reduced my mindless scrolling, so I call that a win. I downloaded the Focus To Do Pomodoro app to manage my time better, and it genuinely helps me structure my day instead of floating through it.
February 2026 in Crochet
On the crochet front, February was productive. In January I made a book sleeve and bookmarks. This month I made a coin pouch, a bag charm, a lip balm pouch that doubles as a bag charm, a specs cover, and a stationery pouch that is currently out for lining and chain fitting. Next time I want to try doing the lining myself. Letโs see how brave I feel. I will be sharing photos and videos of everything one by one on the crochet account ThreadedWhim.
February 2026 in Reading
Reading-wise, I finished 4 books totaling 1,478 pages: 1 ebook and 3 paperbacks.

I started the month with The Fine Print. It delivered exactly what I expected: addictive workplace billionaire romance with grumpy x sunshine vibes. It reminded me of Ana Huangโs style, just a little less spicy. It was super entertaining but best? No. I gave this 4 stars.
The Wrong Way Home was my flight companion. I started it when we boarded and finished it on the return flight without touching it during the actual trip. It is an engaging, layered feminist contemporary that explores the life of a divorced woman in India with honesty and nuance. I really appreciated that. But I was also frequently annoyed with the main character and some of her decisions, so again, very good but not mind-blowing.
During travel I picked up If You Were Mine (Circle of Vows #2) by Inaara Sheikh. Completely unplanned read. I started it during the bus ride from Pattaya to Bangkok and then continued on a five-hour bus journey from Malaysia to Singapore. It ended up being better than the first book. Still not perfect, but I enjoyed the plot and the characters. Rivals to lovers, second chance romance, resentment, abandonment issues, longing, and love. The characters were messy. The FMC was a bit childish at times. But the chemistry between Iyrah and Ziyaan was sharp, and the climax genuinely surprised me. I gave this 4 stars.
I ended the month with Terms and Conditions, and that was hands down my favorite. I loved it even more than The Fine Print. The plot felt tighter, the chemistry stronger, the romantic gestures were swoon-worthy and the banter was Chefโs kiss. Completely addictive. gave this 4.5 read.
March 2026 Plans
March is looking calm for now. No dramatic plans. Just trying to get back into rhythm and find balance between life, reading, blogging, and crochet. If I can manage all four without losing my mind, I will call that success.

What was your favorite read in February 2026?
Whatโs your plan for March?

Sounds like a fantastic trip, Yesha! I’ll have to look into that Pomodoro app. If I don’t have a daily plan, I tend to get distracted by shiny things, lol.
