Back to Routine After Trip : Weekly Recap (March 24, 2025)

As I ease back to routine after trip to Mumbai, what better way to start than with a weekly update? It was a fantastic week in every way! Check out my week in life and books in this post!

Back to Routine After Trip : Weekly Recap (March 24, 2025)

Last week was a whirlwind! Our visit to Mumbai was mainly for my kid, and she had an absolute blast—so I’d call it a successful trip. We squeezed in book shopping at Fountain Road, took my kid and her cousin to a fun zone, Central Park, and KidZania. On the way home, we made a pit stop at Daman (one of the perks of road trips), where my kid had a blast at the beach which was rocky and dirty, but still an adventure!

Another highlight was the orientation at her new school, which left us feeling really positive. And despite the hectic schedule and the exhaustion from battling Mumbai’s traffic and the long return journey, it turned out to be a fantastic reading week!

What I Read

I dove into The Housemaid series—finished Books 1 & 2 and wrapped up The Housemaid’s Wedding. I was hesitant to return to thrillers, but this series lives up to the hype! I actually enjoyed The Housemaid’s Secret more than the first book—the twists caught me off guard in the best way.

What I Watched

I watched Enola Holmes movie! Since I haven’t read the books, I can’t compare, but it was a fun watch. The story concept was interesting, and I absolutely loved Henry Cavill in this. Now I want to read more Sherlock-inspired books but it reminds me I need to finish The Sherlock Holmes collection first!
