WEEKLY WRAP-UP (26/4/’20) #WEEKINREADING #WeeklyWrapup #BooksTeacupnReviews

Hello Readers! Last week has been good in reading. I wrote I first ever discussion post and I was happy with it. Now I don’t know what to write next. I have two topics in mind but I haven’t think about it more than just titles. I’m reading more posts now so I can get idea and some inspiration. It’s weird I chose this time to have this change and do something out of box. I got NetGalley blast from publisher yesterday. I got it in the beginning of the month as well and now I have 15 books to read! They sounds so great.

What I read last week-

The Priory of the Orange Tree by Samantha Shannon

40379447. sy475

Finallyyy!! I finished this 830 pages book after 2 weeks 2 days. I love every moment I spent with this book. Every chapter and page was amazing. It lived up to the hype more than I expected. I’m in love with Ead and Sabran and their world. Review will be up tomorrow.

Verona Comics by Jennifer Dugan

51901322. sx318 sy475

I started this a week before and finished half of the book last week. As I said in review, Anxiety disorder and mental health representation was great.

The Lucky Ones by Liz Lawson

51093245. sx318 sy475

This book was so emotional. I swear last 20% of the book made me cry. I loved how author represented trauma, depression, pain and grief of surviving school shooting. I feel for every character in this book and I wish nobody has to go through this ever. No second thought on stars. Review will be up this week.

Currently Reading-

Be Careful What You Wish For (The Clifton Chronicles #4) by Jeffrey Archer

18404285

Bestselling author Jeffrey Archer’s Be Careful What You Wish For opens with Harry Clifton and his wife Emma rushing to hospital to learn the fate of their son Sebastian, who has been involved in a fatal car accident. But who died, Sebastian or his best friend Bruno?

When Ross Buchanan is forced to resign as chairman of the Barrington Shipping Company, Emma Clifton wants to replace him. But Don Pedro Martinez intends to install his puppet, the egregious Major Alex Fisher, in order to destroy the Barrington family firm just as the company plans to build its new luxury liner, the MV Buckingham.

Back in London, Harry and Emma’s adopted daughter wins a scholarship to the Slade Academy of Art where she falls in love with a fellow student, Clive Bingham, who asks her to marry him. Both families are delighted until Priscilla Bingham, Jessica’s future mother-in-law, has a visit from an old friend, Lady Virginia Fenwick, who drops her particular brand of poison into the wedding chalice.

Then, without warning, Cedric Hardcastle, a bluff Yorkshireman who no one has come across before, takes his place on the board of Barringtons. This causes an upheaval that none of them could have anticipated, and will change the lives of every member of the Clifton and Barrington families. Hardcastle’s first decision is who to support to become the next chairman of the board: Emma Clifton or Major Alex Fisher? And with that decision, the story takes yet another twist that will keep you on the edge of your seat.

Be Careful What You Wish For showcases the master storyteller’s talent as never before – when the Clifton and Barrington families march forward into the sixties, in this epic tale of love, revenge, ambition and betrayal.

I didn’t plan to read this but I finished all books I planned to read and I still have time to read one more book before month end. So why not start this series where I left it last year.

Next I might read-

Breaking Storm (White Wattle Creek #1) by Vikki Holstein

Kelsey’s sole purpose in life is to keep four-year-old Pipa safe. Conceived in a violent, drug-induced rampage, Pipa is being hunted by the man responsible. He wants her dead, and no matter how far Kelsey and Pipa run, the brewing storm is never far behind.

Protection lies in Kelsey’s hometown of White Wattle Creek in the form of Ethan, the man who’d always been her safe place. The one she loved. And the one who broke her heart. But she not only has Ethan to face when she returns. The emotional abuse of her past and the truth surrounding Pipa’s existence both rain down on her from the clouds gathering overhead.

When Kelsey finally opens her heart to Ethan, her nightmares tip over into reality, and with Pipa’s future hanging in the balance, Kelsey must find the strength within to fight for their right to happiness … before the storm breaks.

Isn’t that interesting? I must say Vulpine Press publishes interesting titles. This is releasing on 8th May. I will read it by week end and post review on 8th.

What did you read last week? What are you planning to read this week? Have you read any of these books or going to add to TBR?

Happy Reading
