Reviews:

1. Sunset Beach by Mary Kay Andrews — [Review]
★★★★★
Women’s fiction / Cozy mystery
A wonderful and engrossing summer novel about cold-blooded murder, suffering of women in the male dominated fields, hotel management and their low ethics, domestic violence and some family drama and suspense.
I definitely recommend this book to read on you summer vacation.

2. The Scopas Factor by Vincent Panettiere — [Review]
★★★1/2
International Thriller
Second book in Mike Hegan mystery series. Book was revolved around primitive art, forgery, Laosian history, and drug smuggling that tangled main character – detective Mike Hegan in complex case.
Interesting and unique plot and mystery with twist and turns. I would have loved the book if it had depth in characters and more gripping narration.

3. The Truth About Love and Dogs by Lilly Barlett — [Review]
★★★★
Romcom / Chick-Lit
A lovely romcom that revolved around Scarlett, her perfect business as dog behaviourist and not so perfect married life.
It was about love, friendship, companionship, couple having difficulty in conceiving and its impact on their relationship, and of course, dog and their peculiar owner.
Fun, relatable, sweet with amazing characters and happy ending. Dog lovers will definitely enjoy it.

4. The Divorce Planner by Angela Lam — [Review]
★★★★
Women’s Fiction / Romcom
The Divorce Planner revolved around Darcy who was 50 something, professionally divorce planner trying to mend relationship with her daughter by planning her wedding. In between juggling the divorce planning and wedding planning, she found someone who changed her belief, made her to think about love again.
The book was about divorce vs wedding, love vs logic and realism, second chance to love, and midlife and married life crisis.
Entertaining, romantic and relatable chick-lit with interesting characters and their views on marriage and divorce.

5. An Impossible Thing Called Love by Belinda Missen — [Review]
★★★★
Chick-Lit / Romance
It was about second chance to love, miscommunication, forgiveness, looking at your own mistake and behavior, and friendship.
Sweet, happily-ever-after, cozy and perfect vacation read, filled with humor and charming characters.

6. When Polly Met Olly by Zoe May — [Review]
★★★★
Chick-Lit / Romance
Book was about not just love, romance but importance of compatibility, having substance in relationship; Following passion and not just following it but enjoying it; Being genuine and compassionate in profession; not letting down your own worth and not to let people disrespect you and your work.
Intriguing, lovely, witty chick-lit and romantic story of Polly and Olly that fan of this genre wouldn’t want to miss.

I read too many Romcom/ chick-lits this month and I really enjoyed all of these refreshing books.
Fallen Princeborn was amazing Fantasy that I finished yesterday. (the review will be up on Monday).
