It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? (31)

It's Monday! What Are You ReadingIt’s Monday! What Are You Reading?’ is a place to meet up and share what you have been, are and about to be reading over the week.  It’s a great post to organise yourself. This meme started with J Kaye’s Blog and then was taken up by Sheila from Book Journey. Sheila then passed it on to Kathryn at the Book Date.

Hello book lovers! I hope you all had a great week. Mine was just okay. I was busy with Doc appointments and so couldn’t concentrate much in reading and blog. I’m better now. One more visit tomorrow and I’m hoping everything will be fine after that.

Last week I read-

The Hawkman: A Fairy Tale of the Great War by Jane Rosenberg LaForge

39334593A great war, a great love, and the mythology that unites them; The Hawkman: A Fairy Tale of the Great War is a lyrical adaptation of a beloved classic.

Set against the shattering events of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, at the tale’s heart are an American schoolteacher—dynamic and imaginative—and an Irish musician, homeless and hated—who have survived bloodshed, poverty, and sickness to be thrown together in an English village. Together they quietly hide from the world in a smallcottage.

Too soon, reality shatters their serenity, and they must face the parochial community. Unknown to all, a legend is in the making—one that will speak of courage and resilience amidst the forces that brought the couple together even as outside forces threaten to tear them apart.

This is very interesting so far. I already like that American schoolteacher.

Next this week-

The Things We Need to Say by Rachel Burton

37669968Sometimes the things we never say are the most important.

Fran loves Will with all her heart. They had a whirlwind romance, a perfect marriage and a wonderful life. Until everything changed. Now Fran needs to find her way again and teaching a yoga retreat in Spain offers her just that. Leaving behind a broken marriage she has some very important decisions to make.

Will needs his wife, he needs her to open up to him if they’re to ever return to the way things once were. But he may have damaged any possibility he had of mending their relationship and now Fran is in Spain and Will is alone.

As both Fran and Will begin to let go of a life that could have been, fate may just find a way of bringing them back together.

Perfect for fans of Katie Marsh, Amanda Prowse and Sheila O’Flanagan

From the best-selling author of The Many Colours of Us comes an emotional story of grief, relationships and ultimately hope.

I have participated in Blog tour for this book and my spot is on Sunday. I hope to finish both books by Sunday.

Haven’t read either one, but have been seeing The Hawkman on my radar. Happy reading!
